OVERVIEW

“You can see the Delta or you can experience the 3 days 2 nights tour in Mekong Delta” If you want to get a glimpse into the real life of a Vietnamese in the Mekong Delta, this three-day tour is a must do. From the countryside around the city of Can Tho you can visit the famous Cai Rang floating market, enjoy a typical Vietnamese family dinner and relax in the garden of the beautifully situated homestay.

DAY 1: HCM – CAN THO – CYCLING

07:00 AM, Have breakfast at your hotel in HCM

07:30 AM, From your hotel in HCM

You take a taxi or grab car to the bus office ( FUTA BUS ), Address : 43 – D. Nguyen Cu Trinh – P. Pham Ngu Lao – Quan 1 –Tp.Ho Chi Minh

Please be at the address above at 8:00 Am, the buy the ticket to Can Tho at 9:00 Am, the price bus ticket is 165.000 vnđ/ticket
Then there is a a shuttle bus bring you to the main bus station ( Ben xe mien tay )
From here ( Ben xe mien tay ) you get on the big bus go to Can Tho.

Or from you hotel, you can go directly to the main bus station ( Ben xe mien tay ), but it is outside the central cost you taxi or grab ), you should take Futa bus. Note : If you want to transfer by private car from HCM please let me know

12:00 PM, Arriving at the bus station in Can Tho city, the driver or guide will pick you up from the bus station and transfer to boat station at Ninh Kieu Quay.

12:30 PM, Our lovely sampan keeps exploring the waterway on Mekong river to homestay.

13:00 PM, Check in your homestay and have a nice local Vietnamese lunch.

13:30 PM, Take a break.

14:00 PM, You will take the bikes to explore the area so you can see the real local life with different types of farming, various plant and fruit garden and of course plenty of rice fields….

We then visit a Khmer temple of over 350 years old where you will learn more about Buddhism religion and Khmer culture and life

Visit the traditional market

05:30 PM, You can see sunset at the homestay if it is not cloudy.

At 06:00 PM, we start join in preparing dinner. After dinner, you can enjoy a quiet and relaxing envening right in the heart of the Mekong for a perfect local feel.

DAY 2 : CAN THO – FLOATING MARKET

05:30 AM, Our guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer to the boat.

Discover the Cai Rang floating market, a colourful, buzzing market with hundreds of boat vendors selling fruits, vegetables & hot food from sunrise to late morning. Cruise down the Mekong River to witness the local village lifestyle and walking in the countryside for fresh air.

Visit the rice noodle family factory – This traditional noodle oven has been around for a long time. Coming here, you will visit the stages of making noodle soup from cooking rice paper from flour, drying, cutting into noodles and other stages

Visit the dragon fruit garden

Water coconut cannal and walk in the peaceful villages, tropical orchards, countryside roads. Stop and pass by “monkey bridges.

Visit the organic cacao farm where the guide will tell you interesting stories about cacao and Mr. Cacao and how to make chocolates, wines, cosmetics…Have a glass of cacao milk and can taste cacao wine.

10:30 AM, Our lovely sampan keeps exploring the waterway on Mekong river to the city

12:00 PM, Have a nice local Vietnamese lunch.

13:00 PM, Take you to hotel in the city.

In the afternoon & evening

(There are some places for your refernces at night in Ninh Kieu quay by yourself )

DAY 3: CANTHO – SEDEC – XEO QUYT – HCM

07:30 AM, Have breakfast

08:30 AM, Our guide will pick you up at your hotel, after 1.5 hour driving, we get the brick factory to learn how are bricks made and steps for producing bricks

After that, we will visit Huynh Thuy Le acient house One of the best highlight things to see and do in Dong Thap is Huynh Thuy Le’s Ancient House. This house was recognized as a national relic site in 2009. It is famous for a unique mixture of East-West architecture. The house was the setting of a passionate love affair between its owner Huynh Thuy Le and Marguerite Duras – a well-known French writer who penned the famous novel L’Amant (The Lover)

12:30 PM, Have lunch at the restaurant in Xeo Quyt

13:30 PM, Explore the famous beautiful Xeo Quyt forest. Experience excited moments on the sampan boat weaving into wild narrow canals hidden under layers of green and yellow climbing plants ; explore the river tunnels with a system of bomb shelters, fighting tunnels restored on the basic of ancient traces along with the remaining kitchen, meeting room, bomb holes over there.
